Many netizens think the Hollywood couple and their daughters make a “beautiful family.” However, others wonder why the little girls look different from their mom, who has spoken about her daughters in interviews.
Painting a heartwarming picture of familial bliss, Hollywood stars Emily Blunt and John Krasinski were spotted at the US Open with their rarely-seen daughters, Hazel and Violet Krasinski, on September 7. While many cannot stop swooning over the picturesque family, others concerned themselves with trying to pinpoint who the little girls resemble.

Photos shared online displayed the family of four enjoying their time while intently watching the Women’s Final match between Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula. For the occasion, Emily opted to wear a black cap with a red emblem, black-rimmed spectacles, and a black shirt.

Matching his wife’s style, John, who wore an olive green shirt, also sported clear specs and a baseball cap. He paired his ensemble with a wristwatch and colorful beaded bracelets.
Seated between their dad and mom, Hazel and Violet looked adorable in their blue and black shirts, respectively. Adding a bit of flare to her look, the parents’ eldest child sported a white cap and some jewelry.

Online observers who have seen media of the family took to social media comment sections to gush over them. “That’s a classy, beautiful family right there…” praised a fan on Instagram. Another admirer swooned, “Gosh I love this couple. They are so cute. 🥰.”

“They each have a [mini-me]!” exclaimed an observer. On the other hand, an Instagrammer opined, “Wow, their girls look so much like John!”

Disagreeing with the aforementioned comments, someone else pondered, “Why do the kids look like Pam?” Their comment refers to famous actress Jenna Fischer who played Pam Beesley in the popular comedy series “The Office.” This is the show that Fischer starred in alongside John, who played her love interest, Jim Halpert.

“[The] little one looks like [Emma Stone],” added another spectator. Someone else penned, “They don’t look nothing like mom.”

The recent outing, which garnered public commentary, is not the first time Emily and John took their kids to the US Open. Just last year (2023), Hazel and Violet were spotted with their parents at the same event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.

Pictures showed the family of four watching the on-court action and enjoying beverages from time to time. While Hazel, who donned a white baseball cap, chatted with her mom during the match breaks, Violet, who sported a blue floral dress, was seen climbing onto her dad’s lap for a sweet cuddle.

The endearing family outing came amid Emily’s break from acting, which she announced in July 2023. At the time, she said she was taking a year off to focus on the most important role in her life — being a mother.

In June 2023, “The Devil Wears Prada” star sat down for an interview with Bazaar in which she spoke about the importance of carving time out to be with her daughters.
Emily, who makes it her priority to never be away from Hazel and Violet for more than a fortnight, shared, “Because even though they’re hardy, and they’re used to this strange life, it’s still rough on them when I have to go away.”

At the time the interview took place, Emily had finished working on big projects like “Oppenheimer,” “Pain Hustlers,” and “The Fall Guy.”
Speaking about her decision to take a break, the “Edge of Tomorrow” actress divulged, “There are cornerstones of the girls’ day that I don’t want to compromise on – like, ‘will you wake me up, take me to school, pick me up and put me to bed?’ And I just want to be able to say, ‘yes, yes, yes.'”

The conversation then veered toward how tough the entertainment industry can be on aspiring actors, especially women. Emily shared how her “toes curl” whenever people come to her and say that their daughter wants to be an actress because of how hard it is to be successful in the industry.

“A lot of people tell you not to take things personally – but it’s completely personal, especially when you’re being judged on how you look. So you just have to endure that side of things,” mentioned the actress.

Even as a successful female actress herself, Emily doesn’t want her daughters to know how well-known she is. In a past interview from 2021, she disclosed how she and John have never used the word “famous” in front of Hazel and Violet.

The “Jungle Cruise” actress recalled a time when Hazel came to her asking if she was famous. “Someone at school had clearly said it. I was like, ‘Um… not really, I don’t think I am. Did someone say that to you, Haze?’ She said, ‘Yeah,’ but then she wouldn’t divulge much more, you know, but it’s weird. It’s weird,” said Emily.

Emily was then asked whether she ever gets tempted to acknowledge how famous and talented she is in front of her kids. She responded with a vehement “No! No, no, not really,” before explaining herself further.

Referencing iconic actress Kate Winslet, Emily stated, “I understand what Kate Winslet is saying, you just want — I don’t want my kids to feel any more important or special or that there’s a glare on them any more than other kids. If they can remain oblivious for the longest time I’d be thrilled.”

Emily Blunt also revealed how Hazel and Violet aren’t even interested in seeing what she does and insisted that they prefer the Julie Andrews version of “Mary Poppins.” She added that her girls don’t even like to see their mom with makeup on and simply want her to be their mom.
